The Vigne d’Or Chardonnay comprises fruit from vineyards on Terre Paisible as well as from Stellenbosch. The Franschhoek portion is matured in new French oak for 10 months; the Stellenbosch portion is fermented and matured for 9 months in 500l neutral barrels. Custard apple, Key Lime pie, brioche and citrus blossom. The wine has a finely balanced palate held together by bracing acidity and creamy mouthfeel due to maturation in oak barrels.
