The lingering presence in abandoned hospitals, a hotel once called the “queen of ruins,” aged school buildings, former red-light districts— All of them have completed their roles, yet still stand wrapped in time. Each place holds time in which people worked, lived, and eventually left. Decayed walls and rusted machines are not merely remains, but perhaps devices that stir the imagination and gently open doors to other worlds.
